Are you a keen singer and interested to join us?
We will give you a warm welcome and hope that after a few weeks of trying us out you will want to join. We are particularly looking for tenors and bass singers. There's no audition process, just come along and sing with us!
We sing a wide variety of music, generally performing a different musical style each term from the classical choral tradition to musicals, Gilbert and Sullivan, Folk and more..... there is something for everyone.
Halstead Choral is delighted to be a collaborative choir and we enjoy performing with other local groups, Haverhill Singers, Bocking Concert Brass, P.A.M.S Saxophonists (Plume Adult Music School), St Andrews's C of E Primary School, Bella Voices (from Colchester High School for Girls) and St Margaret's School Choir.

We meet weekly from September to June at the United Reformed Church, Trinity Court (Kings Road), Halstead on Monday evenings from 7.30pm - 9.30pm with a short refreshment break in the middle. Practices are lively and interesting - we sing hard but enjoy ourselves at the same time.
Halstead Choral attracts a mixed age group who enjoy listening and learning about music and voice production, the team work and the physical exercise of singing using all the right muscles! Membership fees are currently £100 per term. For those joining later in the year a pro rata arrangement is made. |
